The Daikin Altherma air-to-water air source heat pump system comprises two components, an outdoor heat absorbing unit (heat pump) and an indoor heat exchanger hydro-box unit, connected by refrigerant pipe work.Altherma incorporates the very latest in inverter and heat exchanger technology, uses the most efficient R-410A non ozone depleting refrigerant and state-of-the-art electronic controls. These technologies are harmonised to achieve the highest recorded operating efficiencies in all weather conditions (down to -15°C) producing water temperatures up to 55°C without supplementary electric heating.
